I know many of you have a strong love affair with the Stella slouch pants, and I also know some of you are unsure about wearing/trying a slouch pant. I get that, so let’s explore some ways to wear and style them.
Why I love a slouch pant
I designed a slouch pant because it’s my favourite type of pant to wear. Yes, she has a slight drop crotch (slouch) but I love this design feature. I carry weight in my tummy, and the slouch actually flattens out my round tummy. This gives me and my plus size curves more confidence, plus the slouch is extremely comfortable.
Stella also boasts snack-holes (pockets), I shove my hands in those pockets eleventy billion times a day…because I can! I like to wear my Stella slouch pants a little lower on my hip, we will all wear them differently but once you find your ‘happy spot’ then tie off the drawstring tie and they will sit comfortably all day long.
Stella is about wearing a ‘vibe’, she has laidback features like an elastic waist, pockets and slouch but the style is elevated. A feature blush pink draw tie at the waist adds a little something extra. The stretch bengaline fabric has a dressier look and the stretch recovery is amazing, making it perfect for curves!
Who can wear a slouch pant?
Lots of ladies ask me if they can wear a slimline leg as a plus size woman, and the answer is yes, a thousand times, yes! The slimline leg is flattering and looks perfect teamed with a looser/oversized top meaning if you don’t like to tuck your tops you will style look stylish and have great style balance.
I love to wear my Stella pants with a sneaker, make it a platform sneaker and your height and style are elevated. You could also add a stylish slide for summer or an ankle boot in the cooler months.
What to wear with your slouch pant
Team Stella with a layering tank like our Lily tank and add an over-shirt like the Joelie shirt. This is a great way to give your curves balance and proportion. You can do the same thing by adding a cape, like our Layla or Celeste. When we layer it helps to break up colour, make us look less blocky and shows of our beautiful curves to their best advantage.
Stella with the Jenni or Ceci tee is my favourite look for casual wear, but Stella loves an office visit as much as she loves being taken out for a latte. Because the fabric is a little lush you can definitely wear Stella slouch pants to the office, and because they have great stretch they are perfect for sitting at a desk and also for creatives who can find themselves in all kinds of situations.
Stella are available in black, khaki and denim blue colours and are also released from time to time in a print. The prints are limited edition and get snapped up quick, so if you love Stella and see it in a print you love don’t dilly dally. I wear my regular size and will always let you know if you need to size up or down (so read the product descriptions) to ensure we get you into the right size for you.
